In this four-evening workshop you will explore many different ways to incorporate encaustic with photography. You will learn:

• quick and easy image transfers
• embedding photos with wax
• mounting your photos to a panel
• collaging with wax
• tinting the image using PanPastels
• distressing the image using Pigment Sticks
• using paper as the substrate

What you need before the workshop:

• email upwardsartstudio@gmail.com at least 3 images that measure 8×10 in high resolution with at least one of them in black and white
• royalty-free images are available at unsplash.com for those who don’t have their own photos

Materials Required: Three 8×10 wooden cradled panels. All other materials are provided.

Workshop runs: Four consecutive Thursdays – October 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
