$35.00Learn the basics of painting with encaustic medium. Topics include: safety; materials; basic fusing using an embossing gun, iron, and blow torch; layering colours, both transparent and opaque; along with carving and scraping. If time permits, additional topics will be covered. The workshop will run over three 2-hour sessions. The sessions will take place on Zoom and a digital download of the videos will be available after each session. A suggested material list will be provided by email (it also appears at the bottom of this page). Please keep in mind that this virtual workshop is a test-run. Participants will be asked to provide feedback as to content and what aspects could be improved upon.
The dates will be Monday June 22, Monday June 29, and Monday July 6 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm (EST).
