In this weekend workshop you’ll learn how to create a plethora of mixed media fodder. The first morning will be dedicated to creating your very own rust paper. Upwards has a huge selection of rusty bits that will be used to create these interesting papers. The first afternoon will be about gelli-plate printing. Learn the basics of pulling prints, over printing, using stencils, and image transfers. Sunday morning you’ll learn to create your own one-of-a-kind mark making tools using found materials. Sunday afternoon you will learn strategies to make your own distinct and unique marks using a large selection of dry and wet media on different types of papers. You’ll also have a chance to try out your new tools you made in the morning. On the final morning you will experience painting with your whole body. We will take to the parking lot with mops, brooms, and long-handled homemade brushes to create HUGE papers decorated with ink.
